This was a self initiated project done to get better
understanding of design methodology. The research was conducted to cater to
needs of varied people coming to Techniche, the technical fest of IIT Guwahati.
Secondary Research
We started with going over through all posters, websites, articles and other material of Techniche to identify 10 words that define Techniche and form its core principle and simultaneously did market research for comparative analysis of the applications with similar functionality or objective as our application. The comparative analysis was done for gap and trend analysis.

Primary Research
Open ended questionnaire was designed for 3 different categories of people that were the potential users of this App- Stakeholders, Internal users (people living in IITG) and External users (not a part of IITG, who had been part of Techniche earlier or any other technical fest).

Persona and Use Case
All these surveys were compiled and analyzed and it formed our basis of Persona of our user. Through we tried to understand the existing system of getting all the info and problems in them. Persona and Use Cases formed the base of UI design of the application.

Info Architecture was made using the all the data collected in Secondary Research keeping in mind the needs of users that became evident in Primary Research.
